§ 56-221. Imposition.

(a)

All residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the educational system impact fee, as established in this article, prior to the issuance of a building permit, pursuant to the following implementation schedule:

(1)

For the period commencing with the effective date of this article and ending on September 30, 2009, all residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the following educational system impact fees:

Single-family detached house	$1,500.00 per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwelling unit	$705.00 per dwelling unit
Mobile home	$1,500.00 per dwelling unit

 

(2)

For the period commencing on October 1, 2009 and ending on September 30, 2010, all residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the following educational system impact fees:

Single-family detached house	$2,000.00 per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwelling unit	$940.00 per dwelling unit
Mobile home	$2,000.00 per dwelling unit

 

(3)

For the period commencing on October 1, 2010, and ending on September 30, 2011, all residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the following educational system impact fees:

Single-family detached house	$2,500.00 per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwelling unit	$1,175.00 per dwelling unit
Mobile home	$2,500.00 per dwelling unit

 

(4)

For the period commencing on October 1, 2011, and ending on September 30, 2012, all residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the following educational system impact fees:

Single-family detached house	$3,000.00 per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwelling unit	$1,410.00 per dwelling unit
Mobile home	$3,000.00 per dwelling unit

 

(5)

For the period commencing on October 1, 2012, and continuing thereafter, all residential construction occurring within the county, both within the unincorporated area and within the municipal boundaries of the municipalities, shall pay the following educational system impact fees:

Single-family detached house	$3,500.00 per dwelling unit
Multi-family dwelling unit	$1,645.00 per dwelling unit
Mobile home	$3,500.00 per dwelling unit

 

(b)

No educational system impact fees shall be collected during the suspension period established by the economic recovery and incentive program.
